1.What do you know about the theme of your project?

We are going to survey what services or products Saga could add to their selections or if there is something that could be or have been done better already. Saga in quite known in beauty care industry in Finland and has lots of customers but how we could make them even more?

2. What do you know about your company?

Saga Beauty is a unit of Sunborn Saga Inc. The company specializes in importing and marketing cosmetics and equipment for professional use in the field of beauty and cosmetics. Its clientele of 255 contract customers consists of beauty salons, vocational colleges, spas, department stores and boutiques.
Saga Beautys main series are French skincare brands: Phytomer, Maris and Fleur’s. Other brands in the company’s selection are: professional makeup brand Stagecolor, manicure brand Alessandro, pedicure brand Pedix and body treatment brand Galvagni Spa.
Sunborn Saga Beauty is Sunborn Saga Oy’s unit, which specialises in importing and marketing cosmetics and equipment for professional. Sunborn Saga oy is part of international Sunborn-concern, which includes also hotel Naantalin Kylpylä, Terveyskylpylä Ruissalo, ship building company Sunborn International, city hotel Saga Exelsior in Düsseldorf, Germany and import company Saga Yhtiöt.

3.What do you know about the company's customers?

- Saga Beauty does marketing and imports a wide range of cosmetic products to fields companies, beauticians, make-up artists, nailartists, pedicurists and beauty schools. Also certain department stores, specialized cosmetic stores and high-end spas can order their products.
- Customers are pretty much specialists in the field on beauty industry.
- These stores and beauty salons which sells Saga Beauty’s products have probably more older customers than young students. Products are going more in to places that have more mature clients.

4.What do you know about the industry of the company?

Saga has worked as beauty care professionals business for over 20 years. Saga brings and marketing professional cosmetics to Finland industry companies, make-up artists, pedicurist, beauticians, nail technician, industry schools, special cosmetic markets and spas.
They are focusing skincare and customers’ expectations for products. Saga sell this products; Phytomer, matis, fleur´s, statecolor, alessando, pedix and saga spatech. These products are well-being and cosmetics products.
Products are focusing sensory, luxury, and natural. Saga selling professional make-up series, hand treatment-, manicure-, nail series , and foot care series, and the most important hole body care. They have also some accessories to beauty care business, for example cleansing wipes. Customers can get trainings before using products. Saga want consider their customers to do contract customer agreement with them.
Saga focusing professionals and seems like they are wanted to keep it that way for long time. They keep up their trusts to the products and customers, and they develop all the time their service, products and feeling that everyone can get what their need are.
Generally, we can say that most of their products interesting women. And the industry is pink-collar, even they offering products for men too. Industry is well-being, beauty care and treating our every cells and sense.

5.What do you know about the competitors of the company?

Saga Beauty is one of the cosmetics importers in Turku area. There are only few other companies, which import cosmetics in Turku. I think that Saga Beauty might be one of the largest and maybe most popular of them. Many beauty care entrepreneur order their products from companies which are in Helsinki for example. Almost all cosmetics importers of Finland are in Helsinki metropolitan area . For example Berner and Transmeri might be the competitors of Saga Beauty, because they are well -known companies and they both import popular cosmetic brands.

Hi!

I'm Vilma Kenttä and I'm 20 years old girl originally from Rauma. Now I'm living in Turku and studying Beauty Care Management at Turku University of Applied Sciences. This is my second year here and I truly believe that this is my thing and line of study. I work part-timely as cosmetic seller in one of Siljas' cruising boats and I absolutely love my job there! The job includes everything that I like; loads of different cosmetic products, different people and different languages and cultures!

I don't have any special hobbies, I like (sometimes) doing sports but my passion is to write my own personal lifestyle blog, which is basically my second job. I enjoy also spending time with my friends.

This is my first time in INNO58 course, so everything is little bit confusing and the tools seem to be really difficult...But I'm interested for learning something new and we have really nice team!

Hi!

My name is Päivi Helenius. I´m 28 years old and I live in Lieto. I have always lived in Lieto, only the place has changed. Lieto is about 30minutes from Turku. I like big towns and people around, but sometimes is better to settle down a little quieter place where I can hear my thoughts and because “who doesn´t like changes”. 

I have Chinese crested dog. I like to do long walks with him and some else activities. In free times I like to watch movies and good tv-series, read books and listen to music. 

I get inspired new subjects and ideas and different learning. I´m excitingly waiting what´s this course can give me. At first I was supposed to go in the faculties group, but I had some obstacles that prevented my plans. Now I am a member of Beauty Care Management group.  All our group members are from the same class. I can´t wait to get started, access to tools and work with nice classmates.

Hi!

My name is Niina Henttinen and I’m 22 years old student from Turku. I study Beauty Care Management at Turku University of Applied Sciences. This is my second year now.  Before studies I worked as hairdresser. Cosmetics and everything related to that are my passion!

Sometimes I also work in Kinnunen Oy (wholesale to beauty care professionals) and Salon Inkeri Savola beside school. It gives nice change to the school and other weekday routines. My hobbies are dancing and I dance in group called Unique. I have also a small dog called Kerttu, so my life is very hectic right now!

It’s very interesting to do project with Inno58H tools. This is my first time in Inno58 and I’m looking forward to it!

Who am I?

Hi,
I'm Iida Karlsson, 21 years old girl from Kaarina, but I've lived in Turku for almost 9 months now in a small one-room flat by myself. I study Beauty Care Management in Turku University of Applied Sciences for my second year.

My weekends I work in Hesburger (finnish hamburger restaurant). Because of my school and work, I don't have much time for any hobbies, but I am part of an acappella choir Voxy and we try to rehearse few times in a month. I try to go to gym couple times in a week also. Recently I have found that baking is also very relaxing and fun! :D

Using tools in this Inno project is all new to me, but when we get this thing going, I think things will get more understandable.

My name is Essi Myllykoski and I`m studying Beauty Care Management in Turku University of Applied Sciences. I am 20 years old and I have lived in Turku about a year now, but I have spent almost my entire life in Pori, a bit smaller town in western Finland.

I don`t have any special hobbies but I like doing sports. Cooking and decorating my little home are also my passions. 

I`m very excited about this innovation course. The tools we are going to use are interesting and I hope that they are also useful in the future. Let`s see what kind of creative ideas we are going to have during this course!
